"The Speedways is a power pop band inspired by the likes of Paul Collins, Cheap Trick, Exploding Hearts, Ronettes etc. They line up thus; Vocals + Rhythm & Lead guitars, keyboard - Matt Julian, Rhythm & Lead guitars + backing Vocals - Mauro Venegas, Bass Guitar - Adrian Alfonso and Drums - Kris Hood. Don't expect the normal noisy garage/post-punk sound that I usually post, today you're getting something dreamy, heartfelt and very melodious. You won't want to jump around, you'll want to to chill out and wonder when did songs like this stop getting into the Top 10. If the new album is as good as their debut (Just Another Regular Summer) then we're in for a treat.". Mick Fletcher
